Payment and Fees
Payment Terms: Tuition is paid in advance on a weekly basis, with payments due on the first day of your child’s week. Late payments incur a $15 fee on Wednesday, plus $10 per day until paid.
NSF Policy: A $35 fee applies to any checks returned due to insufficient funds (NSF). After a second NSF incident, future payments must be made in cash.
Enrollment and Termination
Enrollment Process: Requires completion of registration forms, submission of current immunization records, and a non-refundable $100 registration fee.
Termination Policy: After a two-week trial period, a two-week written notice is required to terminate the contract. Alternatively, two weeks of pay may be given in lieu of notice.
Non-Payment Consequences: Non-payment may result in service termination. Legal action can be taken to recover outstanding balances, with parents responsible for all associated legal fees.
Attendance and Schedule
Vacation and Holidays: Parents receive two weeks of vacation tuition-free annually, with a required two-week notice. Regular tuition applies during holidays and absences.
Schedule Changes: Scheduled days of attendance are fixed and cannot be altered on a weekly basis. For more flexibility, consider full-time enrollment.
Late Pick-Up Policy: Late pick-ups after 6:00 PM incur a $5 fee for the first minute and $1 for each additional minute, payable directly to the staff member.
Health and Safety
Sick Policy: Children showing symptoms of illness must be picked up immediately and cannot return until 24 hours after symptoms subside. A doctor’s note may be required for re-entry.
Emergency Procedures: In case of a medical emergency, Play N Learn will contact 911 and notify the child’s emergency contacts. Parents are responsible for all costs associated with emergency treatment.
Behavior and Discipline
Discipline Policy: Play N Learn employs positive reinforcement and prohibits corporal punishment. Discipline focuses on encouraging good habits and resolving conflicts through discussion.
Expulsion Conditions: Expulsion may occur due to habitual non-payment, abusive behavior by parents, or if a child poses a serious risk to themselves or others.
Accessibility and Inclusion
Special Needs Accessibility: The facility is fully ramp-accessible, and staff work closely with families to support children with special needs.
Diversity and Inclusion: Play N Learn is committed to an inclusive environment, welcoming all children regardless of background or ability. Staff includes speakers of multiple languages, including Spanish and Tagalog.
